Privacy

SizeVideo uses your video to process your request and provide a temporary download. We do not sell your videos or use them for advertising or AI training.

Videos and job information

When you upload a video, we process the file, your chosen settings, file size, technical video information and job status. Your original filename is not sent to our API. If a video already fits and needs no changes, you can download the original without uploading it.

Result storage

Free result links expire one hour after processing finishes. Premium users can choose one hour, one day, one week or access until they delete the result. The chosen lifetime continues after a launch promotion ends. For 30 minutes after the first successful result, the original is available for a higher-quality retry without another upload. It is then scheduled for deletion. If a retry is still processing, the original is kept until it finishes. Expired, failed and cancelled files are cleaned up automatically. Deletion may take longer during a service interruption. Results kept until deletion use limited shared storage, and new uploads can pause when it is full. SizeVideo is not a backup service.

Deleting a video does not delete operational records such as job IDs, sizes, settings, timestamps and status. Those records are kept to operate and troubleshoot the service.

Sharing and deletion

Anyone with a share link can access its video before it expires. Keep the link private unless you want to share it. Use the delete control to remove your result sooner. A download already authorized may remain available briefly while deletion finishes; copies other people downloaded cannot be recalled.

Sharing a link in a chat or social app lets that app fetch the video to display a preview or offer a download. Its cached copies may remain after the SizeVideo link expires or you delete the result.

Browser storage and security

Your browser remembers an anonymous session and active jobs so you can return to them. Clearing browser data can remove your ability to manage a job. We use temporary, protected identifiers and request counts to prevent abuse. Our rate-limit counters do not store raw IP addresses.

To count how many people visit each day, the API combines your network address and browser name with a random value that exists for one UTC day and stores only the resulting hash. That value is deleted after the day ends, so the hash cannot be linked to you or to another day. Nothing is stored in your browser for this count, and daily counts are deleted after 90 days.

If you allow usage analytics, we store a separate random browser ID to measure site visits, video selections, compress clicks and returns on later days. The API stores only a secret-key hash of that ID, a UTC day and whether each step was observed. Completed jobs and download requests or copied share links are associated with that hashed ID when available. These measurements contain no original filename or raw IP address and are deleted after 90 days. You can stop measurement and request deletion below. Clearing browser storage resets this ID. Declined, blocked or failed requests are absent from the charts.

Accounts and sign-in

If you choose Google or Discord sign-in, we receive your provider account identifier, verified email address and display name. We use these to identify your account and manage its access. We do not receive your password or request access to your messages, contacts or files. Provider access tokens are used during sign-in and are not saved.

A secure session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days. We keep session timestamps and browser information so you can review and revoke sessions from your account. Temporary sign-in records expire after ten minutes; account security events are kept for up to 30 days. Accounts also store linked sign-in methods, promotion access and the jobs created while signed in.

You can unlink a sign-in method, sign out of every device or delete your account from the account page. Deleting your account removes its identity, profile, entitlement and session records and revokes its clip links. Files are queued for cleanup. Operational job records remain without the account link. Copies already downloaded or cached elsewhere remain outside our control.

Feedback and applications

Feedback and career forms send the message you write, and any email, name or profile link you choose to provide. Feedback can be sent without an account or contact details. An application requires a name and email so we can respond. For feedback, if you explicitly choose to attach your signed-in SizeVideo account, we save its account link with the submission; otherwise we do not. Career applications are not linked to SizeVideo accounts. Only the SizeVideo owner can view submissions in the protected operations panel. We remove them after 180 days. Request counts are used to limit spam without storing raw IP addresses in the submission.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts the website and API and provides storage, traffic protection and access controls. It processes connection information, including IP addresses, and login information when you use a protected page. Video processing runs on SizeVideo-managed workers. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Fonts are served by this website. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.
